About Sparta, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Sparta is an idyllic small town that looks like a picture from a book. It is what most of us imagine when we imagine the sleepy Midwest.  But, the area is not sleepy.  It is not far from St. Louis and is full of educated, interesting and friendly people who are excited about their town and its future.  If you choose to visit, be sure to plan around the seasons.  It is cold in the winter and hot in the summer so be ready for snow or sun depending on when you show up.   No matter when you stop in, stay a while.  If you aren’t charmed by this town then nothing will charm you.  You may even end up moving in.  You would not be the only visitor to stay and never leave.

In 2005, the Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) brought its headquarters to Sparta. The city and state had petitioned for the move to Sparta and were thrilled that it found its new home in town.  In 2006, then Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and local dignitaries opened the World Shooting and Recreational Complex just a bit north of Sparta. The ATA held its initial Grand American at the facility in August of that year, with several thousand shooters attending.  This is a fantastic addition to local leisure activities.  But, if you show up in the spring be sure to get out and check out the rivers and lakes, animals and outdoor fun.

Gardening, agriculture, wildlife, extreme sports, shooting and nature are all popular interests and hobbies in the area and with the ATA located in town, hunting is also quite popular.  If you prefer warm weather, then you may want to come in the spring or summer for a dip in the river or an elephant ear at the local county fair in the heat of July.  But, you may prefer icicles and snowmen, and spending the holidays in a sweater.  In that case, show up in winter.
