About Waterloo, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The City of Waterloo is a small Illinois town with a great deal of heart.  It’s Midwestern Americana at its best. The town culture is one of sharing and love and the people are as friendly as they come.  The area’s big claim to fame is that the nearby town of Chester is the birthplace of Popeye, which is a fun detail to know about this part of the world.  Its seasonal weather and friendly atmosphere make it a picturesque and ideal little town for retirees, or anyone looking for a slower pace of life.  But, the town is close enough to St. Louis to enjoy big city amenities and conveniences.

Waterloo Park District is an autonomous association that has been serving the public of Waterloo and the neighboring area for many decades by providing more than 150 acres of green spaces and recreational areas. They also have an 18-hole Disc Golf course.  Warm spring and summer days are ideal for checking out the parks and what they have to offer.

The last Sunday in July, annually, the Monroe County fair is held at the Waterloo Fairgrounds. There you will find fair exhibits containing farm tools, farm creatures, arts and crafts, quilts, and fresh garden produce. There are also, of course, plenty of fun carnival rides.  During the event, local organizations offer food and refreshment while fairgoers enjoy tractor pulls, the Fair Queen Pageant, the Little Miss contest and even a demolition derby.

When fall rolls in and the weather cools, it is time to celebrate pumpkins, gourds and all things autumn at the town’s Pumpkin Festival, held the second Sunday in October. The celebrations start with a 5K Run/Walk. Later, there is music, pumpkin painting, pumpkin games, and all kinds of pumpkin contests.  Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!  It is a great family event.
